Renowned writers, producers, and performers, Amy Poehler and Julie Klausner, were in Dubway recently to record the latest episode of the Crybabies podcast with Susan Orlean and Sarah Thyre.

Poehler and Klausner recently collaborated on the Hulu series "Difficult People." During the podcast, they discuss Stephen Sondheim's "Sunday in the Park with George," Bette Midler's "The Rose," Anita Hill, Terms of Endearment. Check out the full episode here! 

David Tennant interviewed by BBC

Scottish television and film star, David Tennant (Broadchurch, Gracepoint, Dr. Who, and the upcoming Netflix series, Jessica Jones), spent a couple of hours in the studio for a BBC radio interview. Clive Brill of Brill Productions, UK hosted, and Dubway's own Rashid Ramkissoon engineered.

Mandy Patinkin records at Dubway

Actor, singer, comedian Mandy Patinkin spent a few hours with engineer Chris Montgomery, recording voice over for Nina's World,  the animated preschool series on NBC Sprout. 

Location Audio for "Human Resources" series

Dubway is responsible for the location recording of Season Two of Pivot's reality TV series, Human Resources. Having successfully handled the sound for Season One, Seth Granger, head of Dubway's location team, is responsible for the audio capture going forward into the new season.

Lion TV UK directed Michelle De Swarte from across the pond, via our Source Connect technology, for an upcoming new broadcast, World of Weird.

Katherine Jenkins, live on BBC

Katherine Jenkins, lyric mezzo-soprano and songwriter, was in the studio conducting back to back radio interviews, broadcast live on the BBC.

Ms. Jenkins, a popular classical-crossover singer, performs across a spectrum of operatic arias, popular songs, musical theatre and hymns. The trans-Atlantic connection was conducted via ISDN.

‘Barber Battle’ w/ Cedric The Entertainer

The audio post mix for The CE reality show has been going on in Dubway's 5.1 surround sound suite. Jon Tropea is the mix master, as the competitors' shears thrust and parry.  

ADR with Ed Westwick

Actor Ed Westwick came in for a few hours to perform ADR with his director, Aram Rappaport (in London), for the upcoming thriller, A Conspiracy on Jeckyll Island. The film also stars Frank Grillo, Dianna Agron, Minnie Driver, John Leguizamo, and Maggie Q.

"Howl-N-Madd" wins Big Easy Film International Festival Award.

Congratulations to Lucky Find Productions and The True Delta Project, Lee Quinby and Erickson Blakney, on their recent win in New Orleans, for their documentary, Howl-N-Madd. Bill Perry, Mississippi Blues Family Man.

Growing up picking cotton in Mississippi, Bill Perry moved to Chicago to make a new life for himself. But his real success came when he returned 40 years later as "Howl-N-Madd," an engaging bluesman devoted to his music and his family. Features live performance, interviews, recorded music and extensive archival footage.

Wallykazam! Nominated for Annie Award

Wallykazam!, the Nickelodeon production recorded, sound designed, and mixed here at Dubway with Rhumba Recorders, is nominated for the animation awards under the category of "Best General Audience Animated TV/Broadcast Production For Preschool Children." The final award ceremony for 2014 takes place on January 31. It totally deserves to win!
 

Jason Schwartzman directs... Mozart in the Jungle.

Search Party's Meghan Currier brought in actor/comedian Jason Schwartzman to direct a vocalist for Search Party's production of Amazon's Mozart in the Jungle, one of a few MITJ sessions.

ADR for "Ripper Street"

With two of their actors in NYC, the hit BBC One production partnered with Dubway to host their ADR session, directing for a day from across the pond in London.

Surround Sound Mix for Amish Mafia

Jon Tropea mixed down the latest episodes of "Amish Mafia" (Discovery Channel) in Dubway's 5.1 Blue Room.

Grey's Anatomy

Ellen Pompeo was in NYC, when some last minute ADR was required for the show, Grey's Anatomy. Dubway connected with the director in LA, and the session was done in a snap.

History Detectives on PBS

Lion Television finished up their post on their PBS series History Detectives - Special Investigations with several VO sessions.

Howl-N-Madd mix

Lucky Find productions was back to mix another documentary of the Blues culture in the deep south, this one profiling the great Bill Howlin' Madd Perry, Howl-N-Madd, Mississippi Blues Family Man. Lee Quinby and Erickson Blakney are following up on the award-winning success of their earlier film, True Delta.
