Although a native New Yorker, Jason got his real start in South
Florida where he grew up. Jason learned his craft recording
his own and other local bands. In 1995 he returned to New York
and worked his way up through the ranks at several NYC studios,
landing at Dubway in 1999. Now a seasoned professional, Jason
has some of the biggest names in the industry on his list of
credits.
Specializing in Live recordings, he has been chief engineer
for over 200 recordings for MTV Networks. Recording & mixing
(stereo & 5.1 Surround Sound) television concert specials for
Lenny Kravitz, Erykah Badu, Wyclef Jean, The Artic Monkeys,
Beck, The White Stripes, & Alanis Morrisette, (to name a few),
for such shows as Unplugged, VH1 Soul's SoulStage,
Discover & Download, and Live@VH1.com. He also
is the recording/mixing engineer for the iTunes Live from
Soho series, featuring exclusive releases from many artists,
amongst them Gnarls Barkley, Counting Crows, Dave Gahan, Taylor
Swift, and Kings of Leon.
In the studio he has worked with Angelo Badalamenti, Deborah
Harry, Moby, Chris Thile, Bebel Gilberto, Scott Hardkiss & many
many more. He also has engineered on two Grammy nominated releases,
James Cotton's Baby, Don't You Tear My Clothes, and Tony
Trischka's Double Banjo Spectacular.
