Building Access & Equipment Load-in

NIGHTS & WEEKENDS
Due to the security of the building, a list of names of people attending your session is required on nights and weekends. Please note that all attendees will likely be asked to show identification upon entering the building.

LOADING IN GEAR
All load-ins must be coordinated with Dubway. The building does not allow wheeled items through the front (42 Broadway) entrance - everything must be carried. We are happy to assist with loading in.

For larger load-ins and/or wheeled items, the only access is through the rear of the building, at 55 New St, to the freight elevator. Access to 55 New St. is limited to 8AM - 5PM, Mon - Fri. (See directions, below), and the fright elevator is available 8AM - 12PM, and 1PM - 5PM. So, again, gear load-ins need to be coordinated with Dubway in advance.

Directions

SUBWAY DIRECTIONS TO 42 BROADWAY (Subway stops are very close to the studio.)

1. Take the 4 or the 5 train to the Wall Street stop and walk south two blocks on Broadway.
2. Take the 1 or the R train to the Rector Street station, and walk east 1 block to Broadway.
3. Take the J or the Z train to the Wall Street stop, walk one block west on Wall Street to Broadway and then walk south one block to 42 Broadway.
4. Take the 2 or the 3 train to the Wall Street stop, walk two blocks west on Wall Street to Broadway and then walk south two blocks to 42 Broadway. (Or change to the 1 train at Chambers St.)

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO 42 BROADWAY

From FDR Drive:

1. Head south on FDR Dr to end
2. Merge onto West Side Highway 9A heading north
3. Turn right at Rector St
4. Turn right at Broadway, and arrive at 42 Broadway

From Battery Tunnel:

1. Exit Brooklyn Battery Tunnel
2. Take right on West Side Highway 9A heading north
3. Turn right at Rector St
4. Turn right at Broadway, and arrive at 42 Broadway

From West Side Highway 9A:

1. Head southwest on West Side Highway 9A South
2. Follow signs to Battery Park staying right
3. Turn left to U-turn back onto West Side Highway 9A heading north
4. Turn right at Rector St
5. Turn right at Broadway, and arrive at 42 Broadway

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO 55 NEW STREET - rear entrance to 42 BROADWAY (for loading in)

Please note that access to 55 New St. (the rear of the building) involves passing through security checkpoints (with bomb-sniffing dogs) on the intersection of Broad St. and Beaver St.

From FDR Drive:

1. Head south on FDR Dr to end of Manhattan
2. Take exit 1 toward Battery Park / Staten Island Ferry
3. Merge onto South St
4. Turn right on Broad St. (You must go through security and tell them 55 New Street)
5. After security, turn left on Exchange Place.
6. Turn left on New St. and proceed to 55 New Street on your right

From Battery Tunnel:

1. Exit Brooklyn Battery Tunnel
2. Turn left on West Side Highway 9A but staying right toward Battery Place
3. Turn left at Battery Place to end
4. Turn right at State Street for one block
5. Turn left at Bridge Street for two blocks
6. Turn left on Broad St. (You must go through security and tell them 55 New Street)
7. After security, turn left on Exchange Place.
8. Turn left on New St. and proceed to 55 New Street on your right

From West Side Highway 9A:

1. Head southwest on West Side Highway 9A South
2. Slight right toward Battery PI
3. Turn left at Battery PI to end
4. Turn right at State St for one block
5. Turn left at Bridge Street for two blocks
6. Turn left on Broad St. (You must go through security and tell them 55 New Street)
7. After security, turn left on Exchange Place.
8. Turn left on New St. and proceed to 55 New Street on your right

Parking

Street parking, in front of 42 Broadway, is available from 7PM - 2AM. Street parking is also available on Morris St. from 7PM-7AM.
